‘Rajneeti’ promo makes Vidhu insecure about ‘3 Idiots’

Vidhu Vinod Chopra has snapped the idea of screening ‘Rajneeti’ promo during `3 Idiots`.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has changed his mind about screening the promo of Ranbir-Katrina starrer ‘Rajneeti’ during the interval of ‘3 Idiots’, according to the latest reports. Vidhu seems to be quite nervous and insecure just a few days before the release of his film ‘3 Idiots’. The filmmaker has reportedly asked UTV, the distributors of Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajneeti’, to withdraw the film’s trailer that was to be shown during the interval of Aamir Khan starrer. A source says, “Vidhu’s decision came in the wake of a private screening of ‘3 Idiots’ held recently. Everybody who saw the film spoke very highly about the trailer of ‘Rajneeti’ and felt that it would be a very strong film. This set Vidhu’s mind ticking and he decided that he would rather do away with the trailer than have people distracted from ‘3 Idiots’.” Expressing his views from New York, Jha confirmed that UTV has informed him about Vidhu’s decision. He said, “Vidhu had seen the trailer of ‘Rajneeti’ and told me that it would be a pleasure to screen it. But now he has developed cold feet at the last minute.” Jha added that he knows Vidhu since their FTII days and he has always remained fickle minded. “He’ll commit on something and turn it around the next second. That is Vidhu’s nature. I sympathise with him,” he added.
