Sharon Tate’s engagement ring fetches $21k at auction

Sharon Tate’s engagement ring, given to her by Roman Polanski before she was murdered, has been auctioned off for more than 21,000 dollars.

Washington: Sharon Tate’s engagement ring, given to her by Roman Polanski before she was murdered, has been auctioned off for more than 21,000 dollars.
The ring was surrounded in controversy, with Tate’s sister insisting it wasn’t Sharon’s ‘official’ engagement ring but an ‘unofficial symbol of her relationship’ with Polanski. The auction house later produced a letter signed by Polanski, contradicting the claim, Tmz.com reported. The ring was put up for sale at the GottaHaveRockandRoll.com auction, with a starting price of 10,000 dollars, but eventually raked in 21,260 dollars. So far, the identity of the buyer has not been revealed. ANI
