Hitchcock`s `Psycho` score up for sale

London: The original score from Alfred Hitchcock`s 1960 classic `Psycho` is up for sale for USD 75,000.

Norma Herrmann, widow of the film`s composer Bernard Herrmann, is putting the 20-page manuscript on the market to raise funds to produce a DVD boxset of her late husband`s work, a daily reported. "It`s such a famous score and means a lot to me. It`s the only thing I`ve kept of Bernard`s work as a last souvenir." The piece has been offered up for auction, but Herrmann is also in negotiations to sell it to the University of California. PTI
