After Gautam Gambhir, Amitabh Bachchan DESTROYS Brad Hodge for INSULTING remark on Virat Kohli

New Delhi: While Australia media continues to criticise Indian skipper Virat Kohli, several names have backed the Delhi batsman for his on-fielder behavious against the Aussies in the recently concluded four-match series.

Hodge, who is associated with Indian Premier League franchise Gujarat Lions as head coach, caused a storm after he said that Kohli skipped the deciding Test against Steve Smith's men to gain fitness for the tenth ediiton of IPL.

Soon after veteran Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir lashed out at Hodge, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachhan too threw his weight behind Kohli and hit out heavily at Hodge.

"T 2477 - Brad Hodge says 'Virat skipped 4th to play IPL' .. RUBBISH ! he did it to tell you that his team can wallop you even without him !" the legend tweeted.

Big B recently backed Kohli once again when he slammed the Australian media for comparing him with US President Donald Trump.

Hodge's comments came after Kohli was ruled out of the fourth Test due a shoulder injury.

"You'd hope as a sportsman that he's seriously injured," Hodge was quoted telling Fox Sports News' Gameday Live.

"Because if you miss one game of Test match cricket and you're fronting up the next week for RCB [Royal Challengers Bangalore] versus whoever ... you'd be pretty dirty if he didn't front up to a Test match and try and win a valuable series against Australia."

Kohli had injured his right shoulder while trying to prevent a ball from crossing the boundary rope during the third Test played at Ranchi.
