New Delhi: In the on-going India vs New Zealand 3rd Test in Indore, Ravichandran Ashwin became the fourth Indian bowler to bag 20 or more instances of five-wicket hauls in Tests, joining Anil Kumble (35), Harbhajan Singh (25) and Kapil Dev (23).
Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag congratulated the offie for his achievement on Twitter in his typical manner.
The 37-year-old has come up with another name for Ashwin - previously, on one instance he called him 'RecordChandran Ashwin' - 'Chakhma Expert'.
Earlier, Ashwin also became the fastest Indian bowler to pick up 200 wickets in Tests, breaking the record of Harbhajan Singh who had taken 37 matches more.
The Tamil Nadu cricketer has taken his wickets' tally to 213 at an average of 24.81 -- the highest by a bowler after 39 Tests, surpassing Waqar Younis' tally of 208 (ave.20.56).
Sehwag also requested Ashwin to try & finish the match early, so that everyone including the commentators (he himself) can rest well.
