New Delhi: Mahendra Singh Dhoni is still relevant. Playing for Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the former India captain helped his state side to the semis of the domestic competition with a six yesterday at the Palam Ground.

His arrival in the sleepy part of the national capital helped the Jharkhand-Vidarbha into a full-blown international match with thousands thronging the venue.

And like in the warm-up game against an English side in Pune earlier this year, a fan braved everything to get an autograph from his favourite captain.

Dhoni complied the request, signing the autograph with gloves on, even as the crazy fan touched his feet.

It was indeed a rare sight for the fans to see the India's most successful captain to compete in a nondescript ground, in front of a standing crowd, with barely no security around them.
