Gautam Gambhir recalled for India's remaining Tests against New Zealand, replaces injured KL Rahul
Gambhir so far has scored 4046 runs with an average of 42.58 in 56 Tests for India.

New Delhi: In what would come as a cherishing news to Indian cricket fans, Gautam Gambhir has been included in India's squad for the second Test against New Zeland at Eden Gardens.
Alongside the Delhi batsman, spinner Jayant Yadav has also made it to the squad.
Gambhir, who will be replacing injured KL Rahul, last played for India in the 2014 tour of England and was dropped because of a series of poor scores.

The flymboyant left-hander impressively led India Blue to a title triumph in the recently concluded Duleep Trophy where he scored 356 runs at an average of 71.20.
For India, Gambhir so far has scored 4046 runs with an average of 42.58 in 56 Tests and has been pivotal in some matches.
K.L Rahul was ruled out of the remaining two matches due to a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, medium pacer Ishant Sharma has also been ruled out of the second Test after failing to recover fully from chikungunya that forced him to miss the country`s 500th Test match.
With Ishant`s exclusion, off-spinner Jayant Yadav has been named as his replacement.India, who are currently leading the series by 1-0, will play their next Test against New Zealand at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from September 30.
