New Delhi: Veteran Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh on Wednesday hit out at a Jet Airways pilot for misbehaving with his friend and with his fellow passengers. Bernd Hoesslin, a pilot with Jet Airways is said to have racially, physically abused the passengers.

Harbhajan, who is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in tenth edition of Indian Premier League, took to Twitter to narrate the incident through a series of tweets.

"So called this Bernd Hoesslin a pilot with @jetairways called my fellow indian(u bloody indian get out of my flight)while he is earning here," Bhajji tweeted.

"Not only was he racist but physically assaulted a lady and abused a physically challenged man..absolutely disgraceful &shame on @jetairways," the offie added.

"Strict action must b taken &such things should not be allowed or tolerated in r country.. #proudtobeindian let's get together and sort this," he added.

Harbhajan also tweeted about the incident to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to take prompt action.

"@narendramodi sir this pilot BERND HOESSLIN working @jetairways calld my fellow indian (U BLOODY INDIAN GET OUT OF FLIGHT) pl take action," he wrote.

Jet Airways released a statement issuing apology to the passenger on the matter. The statement also read that they will take corrective action following an investigation and inform the passenger about its result.

The latest update in the matter is that Jet Airways have suspended the pilot over racism, assault claims.
