The Gujarat Lions vs Royal Challengers Bangalore — Players to watch out for!

New Delhi: It will be a battle to find back their winning rhythm. It will be a battle towards correcting their mistakes as The Gujarat Lions take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot today.

It seems that the 2016 points table has completely upturned with the two high-flying franchises finding themselves loitering at the bottom of the table, incurring more losses than win with the start of the tenth IPL season.

With one victory each for both RCB and GL, both Kohli and Raina will be hustling to get two more points to their name and climb up the league ladder.

Here are the players to watch out for today…

The Gujarat Lions

Suresh Raina- What has been slight short of consistency for the heavy yet dysfunctional batting line-up of the Lions, is the present form of skipper Suresh Raina. With an average just above 30 this season, Raina still stands tall in being the most formidable T20- batsman India has ever seen. And adding to it, his splendid fielding this campaign is another piece of delight to rewind and see again.

Andrew Tye- He was an absolute stunner with the ball when he not only secured a hat-trick on his debut in IPL last Friday, but also claimed a five-wicket haul with the figure standing at 5/17. So for the Bengaluru batsmen, what is sure to stay away from is his ‘knuckle ball’ deliveries which he slowers it down to 120kmph and below making it even more vicious.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Virat Kohli- Regardless of RCB’s two successive defeats post his return, the skipper has already hoisted the flag of his dominance with the bat. And with tonight's pitch acting more in favour of the player at strike, much is to be feared when Virat Kohli comes out to bat.

Samuel Badree- The hat-trick man will be instrumental to curb Brendon McCullum’s rampage at home. Having dismissed him twice in six encounters, Virat will be keen to introduce the spinner in the powerplay overs to get that crucial wicket in the early overs.
