New Delhi: The aftermath of Uri attack which claimed the lives of 18 Indian soldiers, saw the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) serving an ultimatum to Pakistani actors working in India to leave the country immediately.
Pakistani distributors, on the other hand, have reportedly decided not to release Indian ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni biopic "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" in their country. However, it's also been reported that the film has never been imported to Pakistan for a certification, thus ending any speculation of a banned or boycott.
The Sushant Singh Rajput starer is set to be released on 30 September in India. (READ: Revealed! How Mahendra Singh Dhoni agreed for a biopic on his life)
Hearing about the 'ban', Indian twitteratis unleashed their wrath:
I think Pakistan banned the Dhoni biopic only because they've already seen the best scripted cricket in the world.

Pakistan banned MS Dhoni biopic. We should respond by banning Barkha Dutt

Why is MS Dhoni: The Untold Story banned in Pakistan? Does it feature the last over from Joginder Sharma in the 2007 T20 World Cup?

Pakistan bans Dhoni biopic. Na cricket chalne denge. Na cricket biopics. Impact will be felt when next gen of cricketers arrive in 10 years.

Pakistan not releasing Dhoni biopic. They say the title of the film is M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story, & they don't watch movies w/o stories.

Pak distributors think if Dhoni's biopic is released in Pakistan then their citizens will come to know that India won 2007 T20 WC & 2011 WC.
