New Delhi: Former India team-mates Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir found themselves involved in a friendly online banter on Friday with the celebrated all-rounder wishing the Delhi batsman for an improved running between the wickets, on his 35th birthday. But in response, Yuvraj got trolled on his impending marriage.

Yuvraj, 34, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to wish Gambhir a happy birthday, and the flamboyant cricketer utilized the opportunity to encourage his former team-mate.

He wrote, "Many happy returns of the the day mr @GautamGambhir ! God bless you with running between the wickets and a smiley! Keep going gg!"

The message came at a time when Gambhir is making all the right noises after his triumphant return to the Indian team. The left-handed opener made a fluent half-century in the third Test against New Zealand at Indore, and pundit and fans alike applauded the effort.

His effort was all the more commendable, as Gambhir was batting with discomfort after suffering a heavy landing while running in the first innings. He eventually retired hurt on the Day 3, before returning to bat the next day and give India the much needed momentum.

Responding to Yuvi's message, Gauti wrote "I gues wid ur marriage round d corner u 2 can do wid some sharp runing between d kitchen & bedroom!"

The celebrated India all-rounder, who has won two World Cup titles and produced many a scintillating performances, will tie the nuptial knot with actor Hazel Keech on November 30 in the cricketer's hometown.

The much followed couple got engaged at a private ceremony in Bali last November.

On the field, Yuvi is also fighting to earn a national call-up once again. In the ongoing Ranji Trophy match, the Punjab skipper has scored a brilliant 177 in their first innings against Madhya Pradesh.

He will be hoping to make the India-cut when the 15-member squad for the last two One-Day International (ODI) matches against New Zealand are announced by the Indian board.

India's squad for the first three matches of the five-match ODI series have already been announced. The series opener will be played Dharamsala on Sunday.
