WEST INDIES INNINGS; PAKISTAN 579/3d

Over 109 || Score 315/6 (Shane Dowrich 27; Jason Holder 10)

STUMPS

Darren Bravo came tentalisingly close to hitting a ton, but was undone by Mohammad Nawaz. Bravo's 87 help Windies innings stick together, and post 315 runs so far for the lost of six wickets.

Over 100 || Score 287/5 (Darren Bravo 83; Shane Dowrich 13)

West Indies lost two quick wickets, but Darren Bravo is holding the innings together. But more importantly for them, they have scored good runs.

Over 90 || Score 258/3 (Darren Bravo 75; Jermaine Blackwood 37)

Then, it turned out to be a batting paradise, no demons in Dubai. The West Indies team which has struggled everywhere, now giving the fight back to Pakistan.

Over 77 || Score 211/3 (Darren Bravo 56; Jermaine Blackwood 14)

DINNER

It's Dinner time at Dubai. West Indies have moved pass the 200-run mark, with Darren Bravo playing the role of a leader. 35 overs play left in the night.

Over 70 || Score 190/3 (Darren Bravo 46; Jermaine Blackwood 4)

Marlon Samuels, who looked all set to hit a big score, perished to Sohail Khan, in the 67th over.

WICKET: Marlon Samuels lbw b Sohail Khan 76 (139b)

Darren Bravo is now joined by Jermaine Balckwood.

Over 60 || Score 152/2 (Darren Bravo 36; Marlon Samuels 56)

Post tea, the scoring rate has slowed down. But for Windies, it's a good period, sans runs. Their main focus will be to bat as long as possible. Both Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels are in good shape to carry on prolonging their innings.

Over 50 || Score 138/2 (Darren Bravo 30; Marlon Samuels 50)

Marlon Samuels showed class when his team needs his experienced most. A classy fifty from the 35-year-old batsman.

His stand with Darren Bravo has given Windies hope, to save the match. But, its still too early to come any verdict.

Over 40 || Score 112/2 (Darren Bravo 28; Marlon Samuels 26)

The arrival of Marlon Samuels certainly helped the Windies score some quick runs. But it's still a Himalayan task for the visiting to team.

Over 30 || Score 87/2 (Darren Bravo 20; Marlon Samuels 11)

West Indies resumed from their overnight score of 69/1 in 22 overs with Kraigg Brathwaite (32) and Darren Bravo (14) in the centre.

Pakistan started the day in right note, removing Brathwaite in the second over of the day, LBW. Both the Windies wickets have been gone Shah's way.

In the historic day-night Test, Azhar was in sensational form as he tonked Windies bowlers to all parts of the ground. It was a result of his marathon innings that Pakistan put a formidable 579-run total on board.

In reply, visitors had already lost a wicket at the score of 69, while Kraig Brathwaite and Darren Bravo were the two unbeaten batsmen at the crease. Yasir Shah got the first breakthrough for Pakistan when he dismissed Leon Johnson in the 12th over of the innings.

West Indies still trail by 510 runs with nine wickets remaining.

Misbah would want his bowlers to get the Pakistan some early breakthroughs. The pitch looked very good for batting for the first two days and the Windies batsmen should look to give a neck-to-neck fight to Pakistan.
