New Delhi: Last time England visited India for a Test series, Virat Kohli was only a 23-year-old, brooding cricketer with all the charms to become a future leader.

Playing in his 14th Test, the right-handed batsman scored a valiant 103 against the dominant visitors to help draw the fourth Test in Nagpur.

Alastair Cook's men won the four-match series 2-1, even as India pushed for a win at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium.

India were out-batted by visitors but the match witnessed the brilliance of the Delhi batsman.

Kohli and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (99) stitched a 198-run stand for the fifth wicket in India's first innings.

Kohli's 103 off 295 balls was only his third century in Test cricket, and he has since gone onto hit another 10 tons.

India will play England in a five-match Test series starting November 9 at Rajkot.
