ATF price cut by 3.7%; domestic LPG rate hiked by Rs 2.07 per cylinder

The price of subsidised cooking gas (LPG) was Thursday hiked by Rs 2.07 per cylinder, the seventh increase in rates in 6 months, while that of jet fuel was cut by 3.7 percent in step with global trends.

New Delhi: The price of subsidised cooking gas (LPG) was Thursday hiked by Rs 2.07 per cylinder, the seventh increase in rates in 6 months, while that of jet fuel (ATF) was cut by 3.7 percent in step with global trends.

A subsidised 14.2-kg cylinder will now cost Rs 432.71 in Delhi as against Rs 430.64 previously, according to state-owned oil firms.

However, the aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price was cut by 3.7 percent to Rs 48,379.63 per kl in Delhi.

In case of subsidised LPG, this is the seventh increase in price since July when the government decided to go in for a small hikes of up to Rs 2 per bottle every month to cut down its subsidy outgo.

Oil firms revise rates of ATF and cooking gas on 1st of every month based on oil price and foreign exchange rate in the preceding month.
