London: 'White Lightning' star legend Burt Reynolds is placing his 600 personal items from his Hollywood career under the hammer, it has been revealed.

The 78-year-old actor will be selling off The Golden Globe he won for 'Boogie Nights' and his red jacket from 'Smokey and the Bandit' among other items, the Mirror reported.

The American actor has taken this step to get rid of bankruptcy which he had announced in 1990s.

Reynolds asserted that it was truly the time to downsize and for these items he had loved to find new homes.

The actor who was one of highest paid stars in the 1970s has struggled to sell his 2million pounds Florida mansion and owes more than 800,000 pounds on its mortgage.
