A concert here featuring American pop star Christina Aguilera has been cancelled following the crash of the missing Malaysian jet.

Kuala Lumpur: A concert here featuring American pop star Christina Aguilera has been cancelled following the crash of the missing Malaysian jet.The concert, which was to mark Malaysia`s Formula One Grand Prix weekend, was being sponsored by state oil company Petronas, who decided to cancel the show to respect the tragedy.
"It is truly a tragedy and we are deeply saddened about the crew and passengers of flight MH370. As the sponsor of Twin Towers Alive 2014, we have concluded with event organizer Live At Work Sdn Bhd and other fellow sponsors to cancel TTA 2014 as a sign of respect to the families & next-of-kin of the crew and passengers of flight MH370. Our deepest condolences to them," the company posted on its Facebook page. The company said they would ensure that the parties affected by the cancellation are treated fairly. The Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak announced last night that the Beijing-bound jet, which was carrying 239 people, including five Indians, an Indo-Canadian and 154 Chinese nationals, had crashed in the Indian Ocean. The plane went missing on March 8.
