The anchor, Shamil, informed that when they reached Chakri, motorway, water level rose to several feet as it was raining heavily and this forced them to jump out of the vehicle before it would have completely washed away, adding that there were many other vehicles stuck in the water and the people were crying for help, the Dawn reported.

The PTV anchor added that he called the motorway police on the emergency number and told them the actual tragic situation and Jhelum police did come over to rescue people, but till that time they remained stranded for help for over three hours on an edge of the road. (
