Hosting Oscars better than being nominated: Harris

New York: Funnyman Neil Patrick Harris admits being nervous for his first hosting stint at upcoming Academy Awards but feels it is any day less pressurising than being a nominee.

The 41-year-old 'How I Met Your Mother' star is making his debut as a host at the 87th Oscar Awards on February 22. The actor spoke about anchoring the award ceremony in an op-ed piece for The New York Times Magazine. "I'll admit that I'm nervous to host, but it's much less pressure than being a nominee.

"Your heart's pounding and you have 15 names that you pray to God you don't forget ? and your name's not called," Harris said.

The Emmy-winning actor said even winning at times is stressful. "Or, even stranger, your name is called, and you're blinded by adrenaline and panic. That's much more nerve-racking to me than going out and saying, 'Our next two presenters are the stars of this movie, please welcome Brad and Angelina,'" he wrote.
