I wish I could change Shonda Rhimes' impression of me: Heigl

Los Angeles: Katherine Heigl feels terrible that her former 'Grey's Anatomy' boss Shonda Rhimes has such a terrible impression of her.

The actress, who shot to fame playing Dr Izzie Stevens on the medical drama, left the show in 2010 amid some controversy and in a recent interview Rhimes said "there are no Heigls" among the close-knit cast of her latest show 'Scandal'.

Heigl is currently starring in TV drama 'State of Affairs' and seems to be in the mood to let bygones be bygones. When asked by Extra's Mario Lopez about Rhimes interview slamming her, Heigl said, "It sucks. I am sorry that she feels that way, and I wish her nothing but greatness, and I have nothing negative to say about Shonda."

Calling herself a fan of 'Scandal', Heigl said, "I'm sorry she's left with such a crappy impression of me. I wish I could do something to change that. Maybe I will be able to someday."
