Intolerance issue: Aamir Khan faces backlash on Twitter

Aamir Khan draws flak for his statement on growing intolerance in India.

Mumbai: Aamir Khan landed in yet another controversy after he commented on the “growing intolerance” in the country.

As an individual, as part of this country as a citizen, we read in the papers what is happening, we see it on the news and certainly, I have been alarmed. I can't deny. I have been alarmed by a number of incidents," he said while speaking here at the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards.

However, a number of Twitter users have reacted strongly to his statement and have slammed him for trying to ruin the image of the country.
