 Rapper Juicy J has thanked medical staff after being rushed to hospital with exhaustion.

New York: Rapper Juicy J has thanked medical staff after being rushed to hospital with exhaustion.

The 40-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jordan Michael Houston, experienced a shortness of breath shortly before he was due to perform at The Fillmore in San Francisco, reported Huffington Post.

After missing the show, the rapper wrote on Twitter: "I wanna apologise to my fans in San Fran I had to rush to the hospital I'm having shortness of breath I love you all pray for me."

Juicy J also posted a picture of himself in hospital to his Instagram page, adding the caption: "The Dr said I'm Exhausted I haven't been getting enough rest but I'll be ok San Fran my apologies I will make it up #THCTOUR still going strong."

He added: "I want to say thank you to everyone that took care me at the hospital in San Fran (sic)."

One Direction's Liam Payne previously revealed he's been working on new music in the studio with Juicy J.

The boyband star is thought to be writing new material with the US rapper for his group's fifth studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.
