Kate Winslet surprised by response to charity project

London: Oscar-winning-actress Kate Winslet was amazed when celebrities George Clooney, Ben Stiller and Meryl Streep agreed to pose for photos wearing a battered old hat for her charity.
The 36-year-old star set up her Golden Hat Foundation after narrating 2009 documentary ‘A Mother`s Courage: Talking Back to Autism’, reported Contactmusic.
"So I came up with this idea... To send my favourite beaten-up trilby to as many well-known people as I could track down and ask them to photograph themselves wearing it. I would then make a book of self-portraits... Amazingly, nearly every person I asked said yes," said Winslet. The ‘Titanic’ actress also invited friends Jude Law, Christina Aguilera and Demi Moore to don her beloved hat for a photobook. PTI
