Washington: A pair of Marilyn Monroe`s rhinestone earrings have been sold at Hollywood memorabilia auction for 185,000 dollars.

The late American actress had worn the dangling silver earrings while attending the 1955 premiere of ` The Rose Tattoo` and have been bought by a collector as part of the Julien`s Auctions Hollywood memorabilia sale in Beverly Hills, reportedly.

Other items at the sale include a lighter used by Humphrey Bogart, which went under the hammer for 19,200 dollars and a 1986 Pontiac Firebird formerly owned by Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, which was purchased for 152,600 dollars.
