New York: Maksim Gelman, who is already serving 200 years in prison, made an abrupt marriage proposal to Kim Kardashian during his court appearance on Wednesday, as he was being sentenced to 25 more years for his latest criminal act.
He promised to make the bliss last longer than her 72-day marriage to the basketball player Kris Humphries.
“The only thing I have to say is Kim Kardashian, will you marry me?” the New York Daily New quoted Gelman as saying.
“I’ll make it last more than 72 days,” he added.
And with that, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Richard Carruthers nailed 25 years on to the 200 years in prison Gelman has already been sentenced to in Brooklyn for a bloody killing spree last February that left four dead.
Gelman was in court to be punished for his confrontation on the No. 3 train with brave straphanger Joseph Lozito, who with a martial arts leg sweep knocked him down.
Lozito was riding the subway to his job at the Lincoln Center when he came face-to-face with Gelman on Feb. 12.
By then Gelman had already murdered his stepdad, a young woman he was obsessed with, and her mom.
In the fight, Lozito was slashed across his head and neck.
