Miss Honduras Maria Jose Alvarado found dead days before Miss World Competition

New Delhi: In what can be termed as a sad turn of events, Honduras beauty queen Maria Jose Alvarado, 19, and her sister Sofia Trinidad, 23, were found dead just days before the Miss World competition 2014, which the former was supposed to be competing in London.

The sisters and gone missing last week, after being spotted leaving a party. The two were seen entering a car after the party. According to a news channel, the car did not have a liscence plate. 

Alvarado's boyfriend are to be questioned about the disappearance, reports suggest. Four other people have also been taken in for questioning. 

The bodies of the two ladies were found near the Cablotales Village. In addition to a detainment of a possible suspect, a car and weapons have also been seized.

Miss World Pageant finale is to be held on December 14, but the contestants were due to start arriving in London from November 20.
