London: A pint-sized Kate Middleton doll is the latest in royal wedding memorabilia.
The 16-inch Lucky Kate doll, being sold for 130 pounds, is decked in a replica outfit that Middleton wore during the engagement announcement in November 2010.
American firm Franklin Mint, who won a 13-million-pounds lawsuit against Diana’s memorial fund over their Queen of Hearts figurine produced after her death, has made the model, reports the Daily Star.
“Kate Middleton is living the dream every little girl holds dear – and every woman. For the first time in over 350 years a non-royal like one of us is beginning that journey for real,” said the company website.
However, the royal bride-to-be or Buckingham Palace has not approved the new doll as an official souvenir.
“She’s got quite used to seeing herself on some odd things and this is certainly a bit freaky,” said a friend of Middleton.
