Recession-hit Elle Macpherson slashes £2m from house price

London, June 10: Aussie model Elle Macpherson has become the latest celebrity to fall victim to the credit crunch, as she has slashed 2 million pounds off the asking price for her house.Macpherson, 45, has a plush home in London’s fashionable Notting Hill district, and she had put the property on the market last summer (08) for 9.5 million pounds, reports the Daily Star. When the huge seven-storey house failed to attract a buyer, the model dropped the price to 8.95 million pounds in January. But with the worsening economic crisis, she has been forced to lower the price on the property to 7.5 million pounds. She had bought the home for 6.25 million pounds in 2006. ANI
