Robin Gibb had kidney failure

Legendary singer Robin Gibb`s son RJ says the Bee Gees singer`s death was caused by kidney and liver failure.

London: Legendary singer Robin Gibb`s son RJ says the Bee Gees singer`s death was caused by kidney and liver failure. The 62-year-old passed away on May 20 and despite a two-year battle with cancer and a recent bout of pneumonia, his son Robin John, who is known as RJ, said his death was a result of organ problems, reported Femalefirst.
"The end was peaceful and dignified, there were no theatrics. It was only later that I cried and cried. It wasn`t the cancer that killed my father; those reports are wrong. "Dad had actually gone into remission and the cancer was completely unrecognisable, it was too small to detect. No scan could see it. He actually died of kidney failure. I wanted dialysis and CPR. They said it was futile because he was a Stage 4 cancer patient. I can`t count how many times I`d been told that it would be a futile procedure because he had Stage 4 cancer and he wouldn`t make it," he said. RJ and his mother Dwina are currently planning the singer`s private funeral, which will take place in June, and they plan to use some of the star`s songs in the service. PTI
