London: Singer Susan Boyle aspired to be a journalist during her school days and spent hours reading newspapers.
The 51-year-old Scot, who gained international fame as a contestant in TV show `Britain`s Got Talent`, recently released her fourth album.
She said that she had a dream of landing a job as a reporter, reported a website.
Boyle also said that she still felt strange seeing herself in newspapers she once wanted to work for.
"In our house we used to get the Record every day... All the time. The first time I saw myself in the Record it took a while to realise it was actually me. When I was at school I wanted to be a journalist," she said.
