Teenage prodigy finds time to direct short film

Kozhikode: A 13-year-old has directed a short film on the theme of relationship.

Dev, an eighth standard student of Silver Hills Public School in the city, had written the story and directed the film titled `The Wound`, a 17-minute short film. Dev said he was able do the film with the help of his parents, teachers and friends. The cast in the film includes Satheesh Kumar, a businessman, Vijayan Illath, Anoop Nambiar and Ambili. The film was shot in and around the city and it took only approximately three days to complete the film, Dev said. The film explores the rigid relationship of the parents and their children, he said. Dev, while he was in the fifth standard, had released a short film with the help of his young friends. The film is produced by Anoop Nambiar and Rathanjith. Cinematography is by Vinod Kangazha and music Sasi Krishna. PTI
