New Delhi: Startling revelations have come out in the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) CEO, Rakesh Kumar bribery case. According to the latest reports, five Bollywood filmmakers and distributors are going to be questioned in the case. Rakesh Kumar had been made the CEO in January this year, and all the films released since then are going to be under scrutiny by the CBI. The distributors and filmmakers are also going to be taken to task, if evidence is found against them being involved in either giving bribes or refusing to give official statements. The Information and Broadcast ministry has taken the decision to suspend Kumar for allegedly accepting the bribe. According to sources, the CEO of the Childrens Film Society of India (CFSI), Sharavan Kumar, will assume additional charge as CEO of CBFC. Kumar was arrested on Tuesday in Mumbai for accepting Rs 70,000 in order to clear a regional movie. CBI investigations have revealed that he manipulated the amount of payoff according to the budget and star cast of the movie. It has also come into light that he often took expensive watches and other gift items in place of hard cash. CBI has found two more lockers, which are still unopened, other than the three that were declared by the accused. Several other properties and undeclared immovable assets have also come into light, during the investigation.
