`Mystic India’ art exhibition in US

A famous US gallery is exhibiting artworks depicting various gods.

Nevada: Famous American gallery Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Art Gallery, in Michigan, USA, is all set to exhibit artworks depicting various Hindu gods. The exhibition, titled ‘Mystic India’, will showcase over 60 art pieces from India of sculptures, folk art, inlaid marble works and miniatures paintings depicting Ganesh, Krishan, Skand, Vishnu in different forms, Nandi, etc.
Continuing from October five to 30, the exhibition will also include a seven feet sculpture of Vishnu. In a statement in Nevada (USA), acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed hailed GVSU for this India focused exhibition. He said that Hindu artifacts were becoming favourite of museums in America and the West because of their richness and other factors. Many prestigious museums already owned Hindu sculptures and other artifacts and many were planning to acquire. He also pointed out that some formations in world famous Grand Canyon National Park of USA were named as Shiva Temple, Krishna Shrine, Vishnu Temple, Rama Shrine, Brahma Temple (7851 feet), and Hindu Amphitheater. The traditional Indian dance and music demonstration, besides discussion on Indian vegetarianism, will also be held along with the exhibition, Exhibits are reportedly from the permanent collection of the Gallery.
