Kolkata: Street children today got a rare opportunity to tell their story along with youngsters from schools and colleges at a theatre festival here.
`Teatro! 2013` held at Gyan Manch brought together street children, school children, college students and the youth to perform on the same stage promoting social equality and solidarity in performing arts.
Priyam Dasgupta, director of Sixth Sense, the organisers, said the platform provided youngsters to present their original and innovative ideas without any bias, prejudice or discrimination. Besides street children, performing teams were from National Gems High School, Hope Foundation, Shriek of Silence, Sanskrit College, Kali Katha and Theatre Shine.
