Allen`s `Bullets Over Broadway` musical to end

Woody Allen`s first stage musical `Bullets Over Broadway` would end its run on August 24.

New York: Woody Allen`s first stage musical `Bullets Over Broadway` would end its run on August 24.
The USD 14 million musical, inspired by Allen`s 1994 film about a 1920s playwright and the gangsters and molls who become involved with his show, `Bullets` opened to mixed reviews in April and could not manage great ticket sales, reportedly. The musical is likely to lose most of its UD 14 million money. The closing of `Bullets` comes soon after the end of another movie-inspired musical `Rocky`. These two were the most anticipated new musicals of the 2013-14 Broadway season but they failed to find audience. `Bullets` was directed and choreographed by Tony winner Susan Stroman. The other Broadway musicals, inspired by movies, which flopped in recent years `Big Fish,` `Ghost the Musical,` `Catch Me if You Can,` and `9 to 5.`
