`Filmistaan` now tax free in Maharashtra

New Delhi: `Filmistaan` that released alongside Akshay Kumar - Sonakshi Sinha starrer `Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty`, has maintained its position at the Box Office in the last week. Now more good news comes for the movie – it has been declared tax free by the Maharashtra government for promoting peace and solidarity between India and Pakistan. `Filmistaan` stars Sharib Hashmi and Innamulhaq, playing Indian and Pakistani roles in the film respectively. It invokes cross-border friendship using Bollywood as the medium. “Yet another win for `Filmistaan`, declared tax free in Maharashtra following appreciation and ticket prices will come down 25 percent to 30 percent.” The movie has won several awards all around the world including the best feature film in Hindi at the 60th National Film Awards 2012.
