Mumbai: We guess the year 2012 has great entertainment in store for us. Especially for Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s diehard fans!
Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, who is currently busy with his Prateik starrer ‘Ek Deewana Tha’, is already planning a new project with either Salman or SRK in the lead.
The film would be a Hindi remake of Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ in which the veteran had played a daredevil cop.
Talking to a tabloid, a source said, “‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ (2006) was a superhit because it was one of the more modern crime thrillers with some super advanced special effects.”
“It`s the role of a daredevil cop who is not just defined by his work, but also the style in which he does it,” added the source.
However, the filmmaker chose not speak much about the star cast but only divulged that fact that he is in talks with many actors.
“We are showing the film around and we hope it gets picked up. As far as SRK and Salman go, all I can say is that it is a wish list. It would be great if either come on board, because it`s a film for the masses,” said Menon.
Whoever says ‘Yes’ to the role, it might just become a bone of contention between the two warring Khans.
