Mumbai: The dusky actress Deepika Padukone has replaced rival Katrina Kaif and bagged Karan Johar’s home production opposite ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
Initially Kat was signed for this film and the shooting was to begin in November 2011 but due to date issues she could not fulfill the requirements anymore.
However Kat was so desperate to work opposite ex beau that she leaked the news to media about doing Ayan’s film opposite Ranbir Kapoor. But then due to her date issues she had to take a backseat.
And Kat’s loss was DP’s gain as she has been dying to open her account in Dharma Productions and she was also dying to get back together with Ranbir on screen.
It is obvious Deepika would not have let this opportunity go.
Since the past few weeks DP has also been observed using her ‘Aarakshan’ platform to make her stance clear she has been heard saying- ‘I have no issues working with Ranbir.`
A trade source confirmed to a daily ``Now it`s official. Deepika will romance Ranbir.``
We must say DP is a real opportunist! Way to go girl!
