Entries invited for 60th National film awards
The Directorate of Film Festivals has invited filmmakers to submit their entries.

New Delhi: Initiating the process for the prestigious 60th National Film Awards, the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) has invited filmmakers to submit their entries for the coveted honour.
Officials said that entries for the awards for the year 2012 were invited in Feature Films, Non-feature Films and Best Writing on Cinema sections.
Films which have received Censor Certification and books, articles and reviews on Cinema published between January 1 and December 31, 2012, are eligible to participate.
In the feature films section, there will be awards in 30 categories.
These include Best Feature Film, Best Debut Film of a Director, Best Popular Film, Best Children`s Film, Best Animation Film, Best Direction, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Playback Singer, Best Production Design, Best Music Direction, Best Feature Film in regional and others.
In the Non-feature Film Section, the awards are given in 22 categories including Best Non-feature Film, Best Debut Non-feature Film of a Director, Best Art/Cultural Film, Best Animation Film, Best Investigative film, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Music Direction, Best Editing, among others.
In the `Best Writing on Cinema` Section, the awards are given in the categories of Best Book on Cinema and Best Film Critic.
Officials said that the last date of entry is January 21, 2013 and the entry form is available on the DFF website.
