First look: Akshay Kumar in ‘Shaukeen’

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar shared the first look of his film ‘Shaukeen’ on Instagram. The hunk of an actor is seen with his leading lady- Lisa Haydon- in the first shot of the film. Akshay’s ‘Shaukeen’ is a remake of Basu Chatterjee’s namesake super-hit film of 1981, with Mithun Chakraborty and Rati Agnihotri as the main leads. Chatterjee’s film revolved around three old men - Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal – who were after a young woman - Rati Agnihotri. The young lady was in love with Mithun. In the remake, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher will essay the roles of the three old men. Helmed by ‘Tere Bin Ladin’ fame Abhishek Sharma, Akshay’s ‘Shaukeen’ had earlier taken Nargis Fakhri on board. But owing to date issues, the actress was dropped from the film. Nargis’s exit made for Lisa, who made pulled of an impressive performance in Vikas Bahl’s ‘Queen’. Here’s the first look of ‘Shaukeen’ for you:
