Mumbai: At a recent screening of ‘Lootera’ for political bigwigs in the capital, politicians L.K. Advani and Amar Singh agreed on one thing: that Sonakshi Sinha was spellbinding in the film.
The screening was held Wednesday evening. Praful Patel and Yashwant Sinha were also present.
Proud parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, who flew to Delhi for the screening, couldn`t stop smiling. Advani, a movie buff, was heard asking fellow BJP member Shatrughan Sinha about Sonakshi`s whereabouts.
Sonakshi`s mother Poonam said: "There were very prominent politicians and bureaucrats at the screening. Everyone wanted to know where Sonakshi was. My daughter, poor thing, has been running around promoting two back-to-back releases. She just couldn`t be present at the screening."
There were some tense moments during the screening when the much-discussed lovemaking sequence cropped up.
A source said: "Shatruji had heard about the lovemaking scene. But he was confident Sonakshi would never do anything to embarrass herself or the family. And he was right. He found the sequence very aesthetically done."
The movie, which also features Ranveer Singh, released Friday.
