Mumbai: Mallika Sherawat, known to charge anything from Rs 1 to Rs 1.5 crore in Bollywood, has signed on the dotted line for the 'Dhamaal' sequel without discussing her fee with producer Ashok Thakeria.
"Mallika said she will take anything we give her. She`s just happy to be part of a brand like `Dhamaal` and that too opposite Sanjay Dutt," said Thakeria.
Part two is titled "Double Dhamaal" and it will be directed by Indra Kumar.
It seems after reaching a dead end with her career in Bollywood and with her purported global re-re-re-launch in "Hisss" showing no sign of release, Mallika is delighted at being accepted back in Hindi movies.
So far she has only a few hits like "Khwahish", "Murder" and "Pyar Ke Side Effects", not counting the cameo with Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in "No Entry". And the release date for "Hisss" has now gone from August to November.
Meanwhile Kangana Ranaut, who will also feature in "Double Dhamaal", has been very generous about the remuneration as well.
"Kangana`s work is looked after by Rakesh Nath (Rikku). My director Indra Kumar and I go back a long way with Rikku (who was secretary to Madhuri Dixit who starred in Thakeria-Indra Kumar`s `Beta` and `Dil`). So Kangana said money was not an issue here," said Thakeria.
Kangana is paired with Riteish Deshmukh in "Double Dhamaal". Javed Jaffrey, Aashish Chaudhary and Aftab Shivdasani will also feature in the film.
