Mumbai: Vivaan Shah, son of stalwart actor Naseeruddin Shah is now ace director Vishal Bhardwaj’s favourite kid. The young actor has already signed three films with the ‘Omkara’ director and will be seen in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf. Shah has also grabbed the role in Bhardwaj’s ‘Dream’ which was initially supposed to be played by Saif Ali Khan.
Buzz has it that Saif wanted Bhardwaj to direct a film for his home production but the director did not accept his proposal and bluntly refused. So Saif backed out of the film ‘Dreams’.
Talking to a news daily, a source said, "Vishal sir is extremely impressed with Vivaan and believes that this young boy has immense talent. ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ is Vivaan`s debut film where he plays a pivotal role of a ‘sutradhar’ and is there throughout the film. Vivaan has delivered his best with each frame.”
“Vivaan has been a lucky soul to receive training from Vishal sir as well as his talented father Naseeruddin Shah," adds the source.
"’Dreams’ is again a complicated script, and Vivaan`s role is very intriguing. Having bagged such a role at such a young age speaks volume about the debutant" adds the source.
Vivaan will be seen sharing the screen space with the dimpled beauty Deepika Padukone and hottie Priyanka Chopra in ‘Dreams’. This will be his second film with PC after ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’.
"Yes Vivaan has a three-movie deal with Vishal and has signed Dreams” said Vivaan`s manager, Jairaj Patil.
