After failing to live up to the hype surrounding his name, Shah Rukh Khan has his fingers crossed as his much-awaited flick ‘Billu’- the tale of a barber hitting screens today. The film, which has already stirred controversy over it’s title with the hairdressers association demanding the name to be changed to ‘Billu’ from ‘Billu Barber’, saw SRK going all out, exploiting every promotional strategy to get the propitious eyeballs.

Mumbai, Feb 13: After failing to live up to the hype surrounding his name, Shah Rukh Khan has his fingers crossed as his much-awaited flick ‘Billu’- the tale of a barber hitting screens today. The film, which has already stirred controversy over it’s title with the hairdressers association demanding the name to be changed to ‘Billu’ from ‘Billu Barber’, saw SRK going all out, exploiting every potential promotional strategy to get the propitious eyeballs for his film. But publicity aside, the films promos and the musical score have failed to woo the audience. And the only factor that is bound to attract fans to the halls is King Khan. Nevertheless, with item numbers with three uber hot ladies and a unique story line, the film promises to be an entertaining affair. So without further ado here’s looking at what this ‘Billu’ is all about. The story revolves around Billu (played by Irrfan Khan) a village barber, who is the master of bad luck. His business is running into losses and his marriage has lost the zing. But things change for the good when a film unit visits his town. The unit has the famous actor Sahir Khan (played by Shah Rukh Khan). Taking advantage of the situation Billu goes to claim that he has cut Sahir’s hair and becomes an overnight sensation in the village. However when he is unable to meet Sahir, the villagers accuse him of lying. However towards the end the truth about his friendship with the actor is revealed. A complete potboiler, go out and watch this one for a fun filled easy weekend.
