Protests against Prakash Jha’s `Aarakshan` in Nashik

Nashik: Activists of Mahatma Phule Samta Parishad today held peaceful demonstrations seeking preview of Prakash Jha`s `Aarakshan` releasing Friday, police said.

Around 50 activists of the outfit protested at the Cine Max theatre demanding special screening for their leader and Maharashtra PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, they said.

`Aarakshan` releasing on Friday is a socio-political drama based on the caste-based reservations in the government jobs and educational institutions.

Incidentally, the Bombay High Court today refused to stay release of the film saying there will be no special screening for anybody before its release.
