Mumbai: You just missed the chance to hear Bollywood’s latest poster boy Ranbir Kapoor say the F-word in his new movie ‘Raajneeti’. The movie was recently in news for some of its provocative scenes, which were objected by the Censor Board. News has it that the wrath of Censor Board led to the deletion of a scene, where Ranbir uses a cuss word for the first time on the big screen. So miffed was director Prakash Jha with decisions of the Board members, that after a long discussion, the jury gave in to Jha’s appeal and now it apparently turns out that the scene, where Ranbir and Arjun mouth the F-word, will not be deleted, but would be beeped out. Going by the rushes, it has become clear that this multi-starrer film is going to be a massive crowd puller. Slated for a June 4 release, ‘Raajneeti’ has been given a U/A certificate, with a passionate lovemaking scene between Arjun Rampal and Katrina Kaif axed altogether from the hall print. According to reports, it was ex-justice Usha Mehra among the members of Film Certification Appellate Tribunal who raised objection against the use of foul language and controversial visuals in the film. Even as Prakash Jha says that he doesn’t mind beeping out the F-word, what hurts the director is the editing of the lovemaking scene which he claims was “absolutely essential” to the plot.
