Rani Mukerji wants to do women-centric movies

Mumbai: One of the talented actresses of Bollywood, there is no dearth of good roles being offered to Rani Mukerji. But, the Bong beauty wants to do more films that focuses on her character and projects woman as a strong person on-screen. News has it that ‘Saathiya’ girl Rani enjoys being part of women-centric films and she wants to do more such films. Rani is playing the role of a TV journalist in her forthcoming movie ‘No One Killed Jessica’, which is based on model Jessica Lall, who was shot dead in 1999 by Manu Sharma in a nightclub in Delhi. This role appeals to Rani’s desire of being a part of the films where women have been portrayed as strong character. Rani has also made her debut in Bollywood with a woman-centric film ‘Raja ki Aayegi Baraat’ and she continued her journey with more such films like ‘Mehendi’, ‘Black’, ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’, ‘Yuva’ and ‘Veer Zaara’ among others. When contacted by a news daily, Rani said, “Whatever films I have been a part of so far, most of them have been women-centric films. I wish to do more such films where women are shown stronger because it is a fact that women are stronger.”
