Someone who has seen Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s power packed performances in 70s and 80s will surely be happy to see the aging superstar’s flamboyant avatar in ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap.’
In ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap,’ director Puri Jagannadh revives the iconic ‘angry young man’ image of Amitabh Bachchan, where the 69-year-old actor plays a loud, colourful hitman with great élan. Yes, we have the vintage Big B reliving his glorious past.
Even though ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’ has no storyline as such, the film focuses on Viju (Amitabh), who loves wearing flashy clothes, punches baddies and gets angry when called ‘bbuddah.’
‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’ is a typical Bollywood masala flick with all the ingredients to make it a Box Office hit. An out-an-out Amitabh Bachchan film, ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’ presents Big B in never before seen role, something which reminds you the exhilarating performance of the iconic star in his earlier films.
In all, Big B gives an exhilarating performance as Viju with his gaudy, over the top fashion and his on-screen chemistry with Hema Malini. A word about performances - Prakash Raj is phenomenal while Raveena Tandon does not get enough chance to show her acting talents. Sonu Sood looks confident, Sonal Chauhan looks refreshing and so does the entire star cast - Makrand Deshpande, Shahwar, Rajeev Mehta, Atul Parchure, Vishwajeet Pradhan.
Vishal-Shekhar have once again done a great job as composers of the film. Check out `Go Meera Go` and `Haal-e-Dil`.
A must watch film for every classic Bachchan fan!
Ratings: Four cheers for this one!
