Mumbai: The makers of `Tere Naal Love Hogaya` are banking on the chemistry between Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D`Souza, who will be seen together on screen after a gap of seven years.
"While penning the script we had Riteish in mind and when we narrated the script he jumped on board immediately. For the female lead, we were looking for someone chirpy and bubbly and someone who would just look perfect with Riteish. Genelia fit the bill and she also gave her nod. The chemistry between the two is crackling," producer Kumar Taurani said.
The stars made their debut in Bollywood together in 2003 with `Tujhe Meri Kasam`. Though the movie was an average one but the Riteish-Genelia chemistry worked pretty well. Later, the duo worked together in `Masti` (2004).
`Tere Naal Love Hogaya` is directed by debutante Mandeep Kumar and stars Genelia, Ritesh and Om Puri in the lead roles. Smita Jaykar and Tinnu Anand appear in supporting roles. Abhishek Bachchan has a cameo.
The romantic-comedy is produced under the banner of Tips Music Films and is scheduled to release in 2012.
According to sources, currently the shooting of the movie is going on in Manali. The lead pair had a hectic schedule for the first 15 days and had little time to do much else. But that did not stop the couple from making the most of their time together.
"I can`t comment on their personal life, but Riteish and Genelia look really cute together. Their chemistry shows in the film and works well for it too," Taurani said.
