London: Johnny Depp has a huge collection of hats, which takes up two rooms in his French home to store them and his partner Vanessa Paradis is not happy with this. She has asked him to get rid of them at the earliest.
"He has hundreds of hats - two rooms in their Paris apartment packed with them. He was horrified. He loves his hats and he is constantly buying more," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
"Vanessa wants some closet room but Johnny`s hats are taking up too much space. She told him point-blank, `Johnny, you get those hats out of here or when you`re gone, I`m going to throw them all in the trash`. He was horrified. He loves his hats and he is constantly buying more," added the source.
Depp`s elaborate hats have defined his famous role Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean" and the 47-year-old actor was even voted Hat Person of the Year.
Paradis` ultimatum came after her partner - with whom she has two children Lily-Rose, 11, and eight-year-old Jack - came home with a hat he bought from a homeless person. Now, Depp has agreed to store his hats at another place.
"That was the last straw. Vanessa was livid. She told Johnny he has until the end of the year to clear out the hats. But he`s way too fond of them, so he`ll move the bulk of the hats to one of their other homes," said the source.
