New Delhi: The grandeur of Rajasthan`s famous Amer Fort reflects in a new jewellery line unveiled at the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) here.
The line, titled "Amer - Art Reincarnated", was launched by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers Friday.
The designs were meant to represent the beauty and tradition of the state, and hence, exuded royal fashion.
"The collection is a reincarnation of Amer Fort. Its all about fashion, architecture and royalty," said Yash Agarwal, creative director, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers.
Agarwal said the brand has attempted to "capture the charm of the ancient pillars, rustic walls, paintings and the royal touch" the `Amer` line.
Whenever Agarwal visited Amer Fort, situated a few kilometres away from Jaipur, as a youngster, he says he took a bit from it as inspiration for something that he would do in life.
"I thought one day I will design something, and now I have come up with the collection `Amer`", he said about the fort, which has a mix of Hindu and Muslim elements in its design.
The ambience of the show was tuned well to the theme as well. It began with the digital projection of a moving train. Once the `train` stopped, models walked onto the ramp through an artificial gate from the train.
In another segment of the show, models were made to act like tourists visting Amer Fort and admiring the beauty of the structure. The show ended on a high note, when models wore gowns and sashayed down the ramp in glitzy jewels, in what was made to look like a ballroom.
Bollywood actress and Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta too added her bit of glamour to the show. She walked the ramp in a blue gown and a heavy neckpiece from the line.
